Accessibility & WCAG Compliance

Around one in four people in the UK has a disability. Accessible products reach more customers, rank better and reduce legal risk. We build to WCAG 2.2 AA as standard, and we can audit and fix what you already have.

What we can do

How we can help

Accessibility audits, remediation and accessible-by-default design and development to WCAG 2.2 AA.

Accessibility audits

Automated scans plus manual keyboard and screen reader testing against WCAG 2.2 AA, with a prioritised report.

Remediation

We fix the issues we find, in your codebase or ours, and re-test to confirm.

Accessible design

Colour contrast, focus states, type scale and layouts designed to pass from the start.

Keyboard & screen readers

Every journey usable without a mouse and announced clearly by assistive technology.

Automated testing in CI

Accessibility checks run on every change, so regressions are caught before release.

Accessibility statements

A clear, honest statement of conformance and known issues for your site.

Why accessibility matters

Accessibility isn't a bolt-on. It's how you make sure every customer can find information, fill in forms and buy from you, whether they use a keyboard, a screen reader, a magnifier or just a phone in bright sunlight.

  • More customers: people with disabilities and their households have significant spending power.
  • Better SEO: semantic, well-structured pages are easier for search engines to understand.
  • Lower risk: UK businesses have duties under the Equality Act 2010, and the European Accessibility Act applies to many companies selling into the EU from June 2025.

How we work

We design and build to WCAG 2.2 level AA. Automated tools catch only part of the picture, so every project also gets manual keyboard and screen reader testing on key journeys.

We'll always be precise about what we've tested. Our reports state exactly which pages, journeys and assistive technologies were checked.

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines are the international standard for digital accessibility. Level AA is the level most laws and procurement policies refer to.

We build and test to WCAG 2.2 AA and document the results. Content you add later (images without alt text, for example) can affect conformance, so we train your team and can run periodic re-audits.

Yes. We audit any website or web app and give you a prioritised fix list, whoever built it.
